Abstract
This paper outlines the architecture of a text-to-speech aligner based on Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) and describes the problems arising from of applications. For each problem presented in this paper we demonstrate how it can be solved. It was the purpose to develop this text-to-speech aligner to generate automatically links between text and audio files.
