Thirty-nine eyes of 33 patients with anterior and/or intermediate uveitis and 2 patients with scleritis underwent ultrasound
biomicroscopy (UBM) for evaluation of the anterior segment and ciliary body. In patients with intermediate uveitis (30 eyes),
intraocular lens-related uveitis (7 eyes), and pseudophakic uveitis (1 eye), UBM revealed changes in the iris, ciliary body
and adjacent structures, which supplemented the clinical diagnosis in inflammatory eye diseases, especially when the view
was occluded.
