Abstract

An unusual case of haemophilia in an elderly man with extensive intralingual and pharyngeal haemorrhage is presented. The patient made uneventfull recovery after tracheostomy and routine emperical treatment. The peculiar behaviour of the disease with haemorrhage in certain areas of throat leaving other sites and the probable reasons have been discussed. The role of tracheostomy in a hamophilic patient is considerded.
