The Decomate project enables mutual access to heteroge- neous, distributed, and pooled digital resources of consortium members. Using a mediator architecture with a Broker and several back-end ser- vers, a scalable and flexible system has been developed that is going in production in major European universities. Ongoing work focuses on ac- cess improvements using graphical browsing and thesaurus integration.
