Abstract

Penstemon debilis, collected near Parachute on Mount Callahan in western Colorado, is described and illustrated. The species is endemic to the Parachute Creek Member of the Green River Formation. Oil shale endemism is discussed and the species is compared morphologically to similar species in sectionsGlabri, Coerulei, andPenstemon.
