2O (I), where En is ethylenediamine, has been synthesized hydrothermally and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, XPS,
TGA, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure of I consists of one Keggin polyoxoanion [BW
11.75Cu
0.25O
40]
6−, one cation [Cu(En)
2(H
2O)]
+, two cations [Cu(En)
2]
+, three protons, and 3.75 lattice water molecules. Compound
I crystallizes in the orthorhombic, space group
Pbca, a = 21.5438(18),

c = 26.052(2) Å,
