Abstract
At the European and national level, pressure has been made to invite public administrations to make their Web sites accessible
to all citizens. This paper reports on the work of the BrailleNet Association together with Web designers of the French government
to improve the accessibility of public Web sites. It explains the political context, actions that have been undertaken and
the results of these actions. Finally, the perspectives for the future will be discussed.
