In this paper is shown how the radar observations of meteor echoes can constitute a powerful means of investigation in meteor field. In particular, it is possible to derive information about the velocity and radiant distribution of meteors, as well as about the laws of the trail formation in the high earth’s atmosphere.

In questa nota si mostra come le osservazioni radar degli echi meteorici possono costituire un potente mezzo di indagine nel campo dei meteoriti. In particolare è possibile ricavare informazioni sulla distribuzione della velocità e dei radianti meteorici e sulle leggi che regolano la formazione delle tracce meteoriche nell’alta atmosfera terrestre.
