A nine-month-old male with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome which consisted of clinodactyly and

clubbed thumbs

deformity, with special features, was surgically treated with good results. A description of the techniques used and a discussion of the etiopathogenic factors involved in the production of this deformity are presented.
