Macroremains of late Neolithic cultivated plants are reported from the archaeological site of Maliq, Korça District, south-eastern Albania. The material comprises einkorn (
Triticum monococcum L.), emmer (
Triticum dicoccon Schrank), barley (
Hordeum vulgare L.), lentil (
Lens culinaris Medik.) and bitter vetch (
Vicia ervilia (L.) Willd.). These are the first remains of cultivated plants described from an archaeological site in Albania.
