Abstract

The paper aims at a pheno-climatic typology for Poland's mountainous and upland areas on macro- and mesoscales. The mean dates of sixty-three phenological events (period 1946–1965) were correlated with geographical and climatic parameters. Connections between phenophase dates during the vegetation period were also determined. The dates for beginning of blooming, and leafing of trees and shrubs, those of earing and blooming of corn, as well as the duration of some phenological periods were used as reference criteria. The spatial pattern of pheno-climatic types is shown on a map in the working scale 1ratio500,000.
