Abstract Laparoscopic repair of incisional hernias has become an increasingly used procedure over the last few years. Recent studies
have shown several advantages using this technique. Fixation of the mesh is usually achieved by spiral tackers. In this case,
we describe the development of cardiac tamponade due to protruding spiral tackers occurring 9 days postoperatively.
