Today, most business processes are at least partially supported by IT systems. An integration of those IT systems is required,
because a business process usually involves several IT systems. The OrViA framework suggests a model-driven approach to solve
this integration problem. Platform independent business processes are modelled and transformed into executable ones. To ensure
compliance to internal and external policies, the OrViA framework suggests using model checking technologies.
We present an industrial case study evaluating the OrViA framework in context of a model-driven SOA implementation in the
E-Government domain. We were able to successfully apply the OrViA framework, but we also identified several problems. Our
case study shows how model-driven approaches can be successfully applied in real-world projects.
