The purpose of this paper is to show the resources integration procedure of Shanghai Digital Library, which hope to manage
the content of digital collections, electronic resources and free web-based resources. According to the goals of SHDL, it
will integrate the resources to gives our end-users a single point of access to a wide variety of digital collections, indexing
and abstracting databases, full-text databases, and other e-resources. At the same time it offers the librarians easy administration
tools for managing the resources and collections to support the one-stop services. Therefore, this paper presents the framework
and design concepts of the Shanghai Digital Library, focusing on resource navigation and cross-databases searching. SHDL will
offer the practical model as soon as possible and support the further resources in the future.
