Information is reported on the history of creating chemistry and processing of fluorpolymers in Russia since 1947 till the
present time. The leading role in development of fluoropolymers in Russia belonged to the Research Institute of Polymerisation
Plastics (NIIPP), State Institute of Applied Chemistry (GIPKh), and Kirovo-Chepetsk Industrial Complex.
