This paper introduces a prototype of a
distributed user interface (DUI) on dual devices, a workstation and a Windows Mobile-powered smartphone. By porting the XML-compliant GUI system Views to the smartphone platform, we explore one possibility of distributing GUI components among heterogeneous devices. We describe problems and conclusions from designing and implementing the system.
