Seven new taxa, mainly from the Guayana Highland of Venezuela, are described. These include four new species (
Cottendorfia atrorosea,
Navia emergens,
Navia ovoidea, and
Pitcairnia nematophora) and one new variety (
Cottendorfia brachyphylla var.
angustior) of Bromeliaceae, one new species (
Swartzia cowanii) of Leguminosae, and one new species (
Marlierea pudica) of Myrtaceae.
