Abstract

This paper introduces a cheap engineering solution of authoring and presenting userrsquos own story in the form of animation on the world wide web. Most of existing story-making tools allow users to choose characters from a given database because model building task is time-consuming and requires some level of expertise. Comparatively, we suggest an easy rsquothree-dimensionalizingrsquo method by incorporating userrsquos own 2D sketches of characters, scenes and text to the story and by making them finally be presented in the form of 3D-like animation semi-automatically on the web.
