Abstract

Among all antibiotics tested, amoxycillin (500 ppm) completely inhibited the polygalacturonase and pectinmethylgalacturonase enzyme activity inF. oxysporum; none of the antibiotics did so inF. moniliforme. No antibiotic completely inhibited the cellulase activity in both test organisms, however, amoxycillin was better than other antibiotics in inhibiting the cellulase activity in both the organisms.
