A method is proposed for increasing the precision of the analysis of the atomic composition of solid materials using the ÉMAL-2
laser energy-mass analyzer. The basic idea of the method is to clean the sample by laser desorption of adsorbed residual gases
during the interval between two ionizing laser pulses. A scheme for technical implementation of the proposed method is presented.
