Abstract

dl-agr-amphetamine sulphate in a dose of 10 mg/kg caused abnormal stereotyped behaviour in white rats. Major tranquillizers diminished or abolished this phenomenon; thymeretics increased its duration; minor tranquillizers did not influence it. Adrenergic blocking agents acted in various ways on the ASB phenomenon. The possible mechanism of amphetamine stereotyped behaviour is briefly discussed.
