Abstract

Measures of creativity, authoritarianism, anxiety, social desirability, and acquiescence were administered to 316 college students who also reported their use of marijuana and other drugs. All reports and tests were anonymous. With increased frequency of marijuana usage, creativity and adventuresomeness scores increased significantly, while authoritarianism scores decreased significantly. Males were significantly heavier users than females, and Jews were heavier users than Protestants or Catholics.
