Abstract

Results are presented from studies and experiments conducted with the objective of reducing the overall contamination of steel by nonmetallic inclusions and changing their morphology. The article describes a new technology for deoxidizing steel and examines the main types of defects formed in steel’ the conditions under which they form’ and the mechanisms responsible for their formation.
