The stabilization of cis-hexadec-11-enal — the main component of the sex pheromone of the boll worm — by additions of tocopherol
has been studied by UV spectroscopy. It has been shown that the addition of 2–2.5% of tocopherol considerably increases the
stability of the attractant.
