Abstract

If you’ve administered UNIX or Linux systems in the past, or if you’re making a living doing that now, you’ll find many similarities between the administrative tools on those computers and those included with Mac OS X. The lineup is not a perfect match, but it’s close enough in many cases. Apple has made some modifications to Mac OS X tools for its own purposes, but many of these changes will be noticeable only to the hard-core Linux and UNIX faithful.
