Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have transformed the way organisations go about the process of providing information systems. They promise to provide an off-the-shelf solution to the information needs of organisations. Despite that promise, implementation projects are plagued with much publicized failures and abandoned projects. The study investigates the challenges faced by organisations implementing ERP systems in Kenya. The findings of this study should provide to management of firms implementing ERP systems a better understanding of the likely challenges they may face and put in place appropriate measure to help in mitigating the risk of implementation failures.
