Siliceous remains from Miocene lacustrine sediments near Libros (Teruel, Spain) are studied. Most of them are sponge spicules and may be assigned to
Ephydatia fluviatilis. Some chrysophycean cysts and several diatom genera (
Melosira, Cyclotella, Fragilaria, Navicula, Pinnularia, and
Cymbella) have also been found.
