This paper presents a 3D plant morpha modeling method based on projection image, and analyzes the influence calibration error
on the precision of reconstruction. Mini-section algorithm and Ball B-spline are used to extract the skeleton of the reconstructed
image and to fit the meshes respectively. The experiment shows that this method is high-speed and robust, and the reconstructed
root, branch, haulm that are columnar is very vivid,. So it indicates that we can achieve a simple and practical plant modeling
method that transforms image of entities to surface meshes of plant. And it is helpful for plant morpha digitization and visualization
in agriculture digital museum.
