Abstract
Dysmetria is a state of decreased ability in controlling motor activity and capability to modulate motor speed and strength
which could result in severe disabilities. This study devised a tool that enables researchers to scientifically assess, calculate,
and analyze the patients’ motor modulating capability. In support, we utilized the Turtle algorithm, which extracts and locates
a point on the horizontal and the vertical coordinates on a touchscreen. Based on this model, we proposed and materialized
an algorithm that measures ataxia of the patients’ upper extremities by analyzing the course and the actual activity of the
motor coordination.
