Abstract

The life of the German–Jewish electrochemist Ernst Salomon is reconstructed and his contributions to electrochemistry are described. Salomon published current–potential curves that presaged modern voltammograms, and he also invented the use of amperometry to indicate the endpoint of precipitation titrations.
