Abstract

In rats intoxicated with vitamin D intestinal lactase activity was significantly decreased. In contrast, rachitic animals showed rather high values of this disaccharidase. In rachitic rats treated with vitamin D lactase levels were found to be intermediate between rachitic animals and controls.
