Sarah Smedman, an Associate Professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, teaches children's and adolescent literature. She has written an article on Katherine Paterson for the forthcomingDictionary of Literary Biography as well as articles on illustrations in children's books and girls' series books.
