Knowledge and Intelligence

Juan Carlos Herrero Contact Information

Abstract
Knowledge and intelligence are phenomena we find in nature, usually attributed to men and women. From a scientific viewpoint, we do not know what is the nature of knowledge intelligence. We know that it has to do with the brain, but we do not know yet how a brain has knowledge and has intelligence. There are also tests exams to asses intelligence and knowledge, in terms of IQ and scores; this is accepted as the best way to carry out the evaluation, despite it is well known they are not all the truth: life itself is a great test on knowledge and intelligence to all of us. We properly may ask: What is knowledge? What is intelligence? Engineering also tries to build artificial devices that have knowledge and intelligence, but a suitably methodology is not yet available. This methodology should somehow set knowledge and intelligence as requirements, provide models of knowledge and intelligence, and then an assesment method in order to verify the requirements were accomplished. Precisely this is not the state of the art.
