This article presents a novel design flow called MOUSE for the effective development of digital signal processing systems
in terms of development time, performance and power consumption. It uses a model in high-level language like Matlab as a starting
point. Utilizing techniques originating from supercomputing and dynamical compilation, these models can be translated to assembly
code for specialized DSP processors of the CATS family. An implementation of terrestial digital video broadcast (DVB-T) serves
as an example.
