Abstract

The interactive proteomic core facility website was done with Apache, PHP & MySQL. This website aims to allow researchers to submit information about their samples via a webpage and at the same time, provides clear and accurate cost of the experiment. This would minimize information mix up and provides a platform for them to manage their expenses better. The server program would process the information sent and return a generated code about their sample. The end results would be stored into our database and our servers would email users to download the results from our servers. Users would have to register first before they could start using our services and a tutorial (FAQ) is provided to facilitate the users. This website would increase the efficiency of work done, reducing the trouble on both sides. User now can submit entry anytime at anywhere and the staff can manage the submission better from the lab. The staff will also gain a much more manageable system for them to trace or perform any calculation. Errors like missing forms; unreadable handwriting and etc will be reduced to the minimum.
