Abstract

A 42-year-old man presented with a cotton-wool spot. The diagnosis of brucellosis was made by tube agglutination test and blood culture. Clinical findings and the cotton-wool spot disappeared within 3 weeks after antibrucellar treatment. The cotton-wool spot, which was seen in the course of systemic brucellosis, expands the ocular manifestations of brucellosis. Physicians should keep in mind that cotton-wool spots could be a manifestation of brucellosis in endemic areas.
