A review of present practices in the assessment and treatment of diabetes during pregnancy is presented, including preconception
counseling, insulin therapy, nutrition and exercise therapy of patients with pre-existing diabetes, care of patients with
gestational diabetes, and post-partum care for infants and mothers of both conditions.
