Abstract

Many people in developed countries are adapting to electronic purchasing methods. This includes individuals buying from e-commerce shopping sites (e.g. Amazon) as well as corporate supply-chain procurement systems. Many discussions about the efficiency of such systems have indicated that there are large economic benefits for users from reduced prices and increased selection. Similarly, online retail and wholesale companies can enhance efficiency considerably by better electronic order-management, inventory and distribution processes.
