Abstract

We describe two patients suffering from uric acid calculi; one had uremia due to obstruction in one kidney, and the other retained fragments after percutaneous nephrolithotomy. They were successfully treated by irrigation of a THAM (tris-hydroxymethyl-aminomethane) solution through percutaneous nephrostomy.
