Abstract

A bilumen mammary implant with a percutaneous needling valve is described. The valve enables easy access for (a) the addition or subtraction of pharmacologic agents, especially steroid for capsule control, and (b) the adjustment of prosthesis volume, both as office procedures. The titration of steroid in this manner avoids the long-term side effects of tissue atrophy.
