Abstract

Nagler explained, in contrast to the still prevalent mechanistic-instinctivistic psychoanalytic thinking, that fetishism arises from a distinct individual life pattern. The present paper shows that in doing so Nagler, in fact, offers full support to the Adlerian hypotheses regarding fetishism.
