Glenn Firebaugh is head of the department of sociology and professor of sociology and demography at Pennsylvania State University.
From 1997–2000 he served as editor ofAmerican Sociological Review. He is best known for his work in the areas of social demography, statistical methods, and blobal stratification. He is the
author ofThe New Geography of Global Income Inequality (Harvard University Press, 2003), and his work has appeared in such journals asAmerican Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, andSociological Methodology.
