Abstract

The aim of automatic text generation is the creation of texts addressed to human beings. One of the major characteristics of generated texts is the fact that they must be understandable for humans, i.e. be able to convey all the desired informative contents without ambiguities. The production of such texts requires the knowledge and the control of the “mechanisms” which govern the human texts. This must be valid for each phenomenon used in NLG, and particularly, for anaphoric processes, which, in our opinion, is a major phenomenon at the time of text elaboration.
