Abstract

Seventeen patients with lytic lumbar spondylolisthesis (Meyerding grade I–II) and radicular symptoms were examined by epidurography in addition to radiculomyelography before surgical treatment. Epidurography is considered more suitable than radiculomyelography for assassing this condition because narrowing of the epidural space and compression of the nerve roots, due to osteofibrous changes at the lysis, are more consistently demonstrated.
