A model is proposed for the Poole-Frenkel photovoltaïc effects in thin sputtered films of ZnS; the authors assume that coulombic
centers induce reversal of internal electric field; combined Poole-Frenkel and internal Schottky emissions are thus allowed
when illuminating by light of energy less than 3.6 eV.
Theoretical formulae of open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are deduced, which agree with experiments.
