Abstract

Reactions of 1-methyltricyclo[4.1.0.0^2,7]heptane with N-iodosuccinimide in the presence of external nucleophiles result in products of conjugate endo,syn-addition across the central C¹C⁷ bond of the norpinane structure. Regio- and stereoselectivity of reactions is discussed.
