Abstract

In this paper, we discuss several series of superconductors, MA2Can-1CunO2n+3 (M-12(n-1)n, M=(Cu,C), (Cu,S), (Cu,P), (Cu,Ge), B, Al, Ga, A=Ba or Sr) which are stable only under high pressure condition. Each series includes members having Tc above 100 K. Tc is only slightly dependent on the constituent cation in the blocking layer. For instance, M-1234 phases with M=B, Al, Ga have Tc’s near 110 K in spite of large differences in ionic radius of the M ion.
