Abstract

The senior author is also a member of the Department of Psychology. Data collection in the Philippines was part of a larger study on ldquoThe Impact of Preventive Medical and Family Planning Services Utilizing Sub-Professional Personnelrdquo performed by the junior author from 1975 to 1977 for the Research Institute for the Study of Man. Additional funding came from National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Grant HD-10802-01 to the senior author and from an ICARP grant to the junior author through the Population Commission of the Philippines.
