What is possible on SpringerLink without registering?
Without registering, a guest may search the complete content of SpringerLink and view,
download, or export a search results list, read abstracts for free, export citations and

selected sample free content. A guest may also purchase an article or book chapter,
although individual purchases must be associated with an account for future viewing on
the SpringerLink platform. Entire journals and eBooks are not available for purchase on
SpringerLink.com. Please visit

How do you retrieve an individual article you purchased as a Guest?
SpringerLink sends an automatic email notification to you directly after purchase.
If you have purchased your article as a “Guest,” then the email notification informs
you of this and offers a link for you to follow either to log into a pre-existing
individual account you created or to create a new account to associate the purchase
in your “Order History”, which can be found in the “My SpringerLink” section.
If you have purchased an article as a “Guest” and experienced computer problems or
closed your browser window, please contact support@metapress.com
for further assistance.
